Joining AGC in 2017, Taka brings over 25 years of financial services experience, holding management positions in business lending, treasury management, and electronic services. His diverse experience has allowed Taka to be a financial advisor for a wide range of industries located in both Alaska and other markets. His banking career has given him the opportunity to reside and serve in communities around Alaska such as Homer, Mat-Su Valley, and Eagle River. Taka holds a BA degree from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, and is an honors graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School. As a nearly life-long Alaskan, Taka enjoyed growing up on the Kenai Peninsula and he has served on a number of community boards including Palmer Chamber of Commerce as past president, treasurer of Wasilla Chamber of Commerce, and currently as a board member at the Alaska Rural Rehabilitation Corporation.
