Father-son duo Dave and Brian Shumaker founded beadedstream in 2004 introducing a new kind of digital temperature cable in response to industry demand for choice in sensor placement, more sensors, increased durability, and fast manufacturing and delivery.
Today, beadedstream offers a complete vertically integrated solution for remote monitoring and data insights for stream, ocean, pipeline, rail, mining, oil & gas, and renewable projects anywhere. The company’s tailored API Integrations enhance product functionality and accessibility, laying the groundwork for Actionable Insights (the ability to make business decisions supported by real-time scientific data).
AGC Services Provided
In 2024, with exports of hardware to Canada and international customers growing, Alaska Growth Capital provided an SBA loan to beadedstream so it could start a new manufacturing line in Anchorage. Loan funds were used to acquire advanced wire processing and automated molding machines that increase the speed and capacity to process wire for their cable products. The funding was also used to purchase the combined office-warehouse the company had been leasing.
