Mark Renner grew up in Anchorage and went East High. After graduating from the University of Colorado in Boulder, he returned to Alaska and worked in the oil fields in Prudhoe Bay. Mark bought his first airplane while working in the oil fields. When he met his now wife, he knew it was time to work more locally and joined the management training program at the National Bank of Alaska. Over the 25 years in banking, he managed the branch in Bethel, worked in commercial real estate, and worked with commercial and industrial businesses. Mark’s passion is helping businesses attain their goals to get to the next level.

Kate Schwerman
Kate Schwerman joined Alaska Growth Capital as a Special Projects Associate at the end of 2023. Prior to joining AGC, Schwerman was the Operations Manager for The Launch Company, a startup aerospace company in Anchorage, Alaska. With three years in the startup space, Schwerman wanted to help other entrepreneurs across Alaska and drive community economic development in the state. She received her BA in Supply Chain and Logistics Management and International Business from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Karen Hare
Karen joined McKinley Alaska Growth Capital as an Administrative Assistant in 2023. She grew up in Ohio and holds a BS in Metallurgical Engineering from The Ohio State University. She has spent her career primarily in support of the gas and oil industry. Learning the loan business is a new challenge and she makes it a priority to contribute to the success of the team.
Dunbar Anders
Dunbar Anders joined AGC in 2023 and has 5 years of experience in Commercial Lending. He has lived in Alaska for over 10 years and received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and Marketing from the University of Anchorage Alaska. Dunbar is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance at Alaska Pacific University. Anders’s lending experience includes the following sectors: commercial, industrial, and professional corporations’ loans with expertise in commercial real estate, business acquisition purchases, debt refinance, and working capital loans. Anders is a member of BNI and the Young Professionals Group in Anchorage Alaska.

Madi Hanneman
Madi Hanneman joined Alaska Growth Capital as a Community Development Associate in the beginning of 2023. Hanneman was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska and graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a BA in Psychology and Business. She worked at her family’s tourism business as a Riverboat Captain, and Human Resources and Marketing Coordinator. She joins the AGC team excited to support communities across Alaska.
Justin Klump
Justin Klump joined Alaska Growth Capital as a staff accountant in November 2022. Justin was born and raised in Alaska, graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a BBA in Accounting, and worked as an accountant at Denali/Nuvision federal credit union for four years. At Alaska Growth Capital, Justin is responsible for assisting the Controller in processing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger Reconciliations.
Joy Riley
Joy Riley joined AGC in 2021. Prior to joining AGC, she was a Loan Assistant for First National Bank Alaska where she processed consumer and commercial loans. Riley has worked in the financial industry for more than 15 years in both bank operations and lending. Riley has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Troy University with an emphasis in Human Resource Management.
Jennifer Snodgrass
Jennifer Snodgrass has been a Commercial Loan Officer at Alaska Growth Capital since 2018. Born and raised in Alaska, Snodgrass has spent her entire career in banking, working as a consumer loan officer, cash management officer, and a commercial loan officer. She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Management & Administration from Whitworth University. Snodgrass has served as Treasurer and Board Member with the Anchorage East Rotary and as a volunteer for Junior Achievement. She was recognized by the Alaska Journal of Commerce in their 2019 cohort of Top Forty Under 40.
Amanda Jensen
Amanda Jensen began working at Alaska Growth Capital in 2018. She was born and raised in Soldotna, Alaska. She has worked in banking for over twenty years, starting as a teller at First National Bank of Alaska, then moving to the Insurance Unit in Loan Servicing. Jensen’s parents owned a boat shop in Soldotna while she was growing up, which helped her understand small businesses and inspired her to help grow them across the state. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering with her daughter’s school.
